The Council generally meets on the second Wednesday (Committee Meetings) and the fourth Wednesday (Ordinary Meetings) of every month at 6.30pm in the Council Chambers. During December and January the council combines the Committee meeting with the ordinary meeting and meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
All meetings are open to the public and are held at the Shire office, Bees Creek Road, Freds Pass.
The last Council election was be held May 29th, 2004. The Council elections in the Northern Territory are administered by the Northern Territory Electoral Office (NTEO)
