The Litchfield Council has 7 community recreation reserves covering an area of 170 hectares and incorporating 11 ovals, 8 community halls and 4 playgrounds.
These reserves are run by volunteer management boards, and are funded with council grants and money raised by the reserves themselves.
These reserves are:
- Freds Pass Recreation Reserve (74.5 Ha)
- Howard Park Recreation Reserve (4.03Ha)
- Humpty Doo Village Green Recreation Reserve (5.05 Ha)
- Livingstone Recreation Reserve (16.19 Ha)
- McMinns Lagoon Recreation Reserve (41.55 Ha)
- Berry Springs Recreation Reserve (8.12 Ha)
- Knuckeys Lagoons Recreation Reserve (19.37Ha)
The shire also has several Parks and Nature Reserves within its boundaries.
