Developments and Subdivisions

In the Northern Territory , building, clearing and planning matters are under the jurisdiction of the Development Consent Authority.

Whilst Council does not have planning powers a considerable amount of time and effort is spent on assessing and commenting on planning applications throughout the Municipality. This is very important from Council’s perspective as decisions made by the Development Consent Authority may have important financial, environmental and social repercussions for the Council and the Municipality.
