A large proportion of Councils expenditure is spent on maintenance which includes drain clearing, grading, patching, gravel resheeting, line marking, resealing and road widening, street signs, weed control, slashing, fire breaks and emergency repairs. To date over 66 per cent of the Shire’s roads have been sealed

The Councilalso have a program for sealing roads under the rate payer contribution scheme (where are the forms for this, how do you apply for this).

Land use issues are still preventing Council from undertaking works on the realignment of Campbell Road however Council has allocated funds into a reserve in the event that these issues are resolved by the Development Consent Authority.

Councilpresently maintains approximately 439km of sealed roads and 255km of gravel roads.
